Genealogy Projects

Remembered

The Remembered Project was created to identify the final resting places of those who may have been forgotten over the years since they were laid to rest. There are numerous graves in cemeteries throughout the country which belong to somebody who once has their own life and story. Through genealogical research we aim to ensure that these people are known once more and will never again be forgotten. They will be remembered.

Remembered was founded in 2023 and you can follow the progress on this link

The Moynihan's Book

The topic of my dissertation while studying Genealogy at University College Cork was the Moynihan family from Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick. Three of the brothers in the family travelled to America and were instrumental in the early years of the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. Monsignor Humphrey Moynihan and his brother James are the only two siblings who have served as President at this prestigious university and their story will be told in the book which I am writing about my great-granduncles.

The Kerry Archives

The Kerry Archives is a project which is being set up to discover and then preserve much of the local history which is in danger of being lost. This will combine the collation of artefacts and files which have already been preserved over the years as well as discovering new material through interviews and other methods. The goal is to document as much information as possible from elderly people before it is lost forever.
